Originality is one of the many facet’s of fashion, along with creativity, self-expression and the ability to illustrate a specific message to the world, that makes something as simple as a few pieces of fabric so inspiring.
It’s also one of the only ways we can ensure that nobody else will be wearing what we are when it comes attending lavish events, or simply impressing an interviewer or that new special someone.
And in the case of Gigi Hadid, it’s the red (or pink, I should say) carpet following the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
While most of us probably thought the supermodel’s ensemble was nothing but another unattainable sexy cutout dress with thigh-high double-slits, deep investigation proved us wrong.
The Victoria’s Secret newbie tricked us all wearing a black asymmetric cut-out bodysuit from British retailer House of CB, and a long slit bustier top by designer Sally LaPointe on her bottoms (available here), proving that the best way to ensure originality is to swap tops for bottoms and bottoms for tops, while mixing up high pieces with lows.
